Of a Wasted Youth

I honestly feel that I'm wasting away my youth with the things that should have been left behind when I finished SPM. This is the time, when I should be enjoying everything that being a youth has to offer, but here I am sitting on a chair, my fingers clicking away on a plastic keyboard, whilst I stare at the luminous monitor, pondering upon my obsolete future. It's Merdeka eve, and I'm in a cyber cafe playing DOTA, when I could be street partying in The Curve, KLCC or even Bukit Bintang, but yes, I waste money on a computer game instead. And if that wasn't pathetic enough, I even managed to miss the start of the firework show. There is always New Year's Day I suppose, probably should be marking my calender or something of the sort. I eventually drove around with a few of my friends and somehow or rather, we found ourselves parked outside some building in Hartamas and proceeded to Breakers, one of the bars in the area for rounds of pool. The place was filled with loud music and the air was thick and wafting with smoke from lit cigarettes which was rather annoying to the nose and throat. We eventually left, with our clothing smelling of a smoke funnel, back to our respective homes, where I begin to think, that this is just becoming one of those insignifant things that we do to fill the gap of boredom that runs through all of our veins. It's time I did something, that will bear the mark of something unforgettable in my life.

Ambang Merdeka

Ambang Merdeka was pretty awesome, but I have to say, I blew my shot at a modeling career considerably well. I was so serious about it, like serious in how real models are serious when they strut down the runway that it looked, kekok, a bit, but I managed to pull of a couple of shots. You'll see them in later along this post. The event started at around 10.00AM and the choir group were busy practising our songs, we were all nervous, but we got through. After the choir's performance, a few of us had to rush for a change in wardrobe for the fashion show. The scene backstage was in utter chaos, people scrambling around looking for their clothes, girls applying make-up on guys and girls. Even I got a dab of who knows what on my face. The performance went well, but I still think I should have smiled. Here are some photos from the day.
