American Idol: Final Four

American Idol has to be one of the best reality shows on TV. Watching people singing on live television seems to have taken the world by storm. Since the show commenced in January, there is now only four contestants in the race to become America's next Idol. This is how the show works, the contestants sing songs of their choice that will be then judged by three judges, namely Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and the infamous Simon Cowell. But these judges don't decide who goes and who stays, the decision lies with the people of America who get to vote for their favourite idol. Pretty cool concept, eh? This week on Idol was rock week, where Jon Bon Jovi was the special guest who helped them choose their songs. Anyways, my favourite idol so far has to be Melinda Doolittle. She's practically flawless when she sings. Through out the competition, the judges did not really like one of her performance, but other than that, she's AMAZING! She latest song on the show was Have A Nice Day by Bon Jovi which as usual was great. Besides Melinda, Lakisha is also a really great singer as well. She, like Melinda, almost never fails to blow the audience away. Her big voice booms through the television set and makes me stare with awe. Lakisha can really sing. She kissed Simon on Wednesday! Lol! That was funny, I have to admitt. I forgot what song she sang! Besides Lakisha, there's also Jordin who never fails to impress. Jordin at a tender age of seventeen (that's my age too), can sing like she's been doing it for years. Her big and soul-full voice lightens up the stage with beautiful song choices that goes well with her voice. Simon seems to be really impressed with her. And the last but not least, the very brave Blake Lewis who took the chance in the last episode where he made a new rendition of the song, You Gave Love A Bad Name. He really made the song his, making him the most original idol ever. He incorporated his really awesome beat-boxing skills to the song and made it out of this world. He was so good, that all the judges, even Simon (it's hard to impress him), enjoyed his performance. If Melinda doens't win, I really hope that Blake will win, or at least make to the final three. I love that beat-boxing thing that he has. Original and brilliant. He took the risk and made the song a bigger hit. Who will be the next American Idol? Blake? Lakisha? Jordin? Melinda? Only time will tell.

Exams

As if life wasn't biting my ass hard enough! Life turned around and bit me again with my Mid Term/Diagnostic exams. What a pain. Well, today marks the first day of the exams and how else would you start an exam? With your Moral paper, great. Spent the whole of last night memorising all the moral values in the whole sylabus, thirty six moral values to be exact. Memorising all those moral values and their meanings is no easy thing, takes time and a whole lot of patience to get them all in your head in one day. But I did manage to get all of them in my head, but come exam, OMG! Not one of the questions asked about the meaning of the moral value. All the questions were pretty much asking us to elaborate more on the meaning, and I wasn't really prepared to answer those kind of questions. At least I managed three quarters of the paper. Not good enough I suppose. These paper's are important and the results will be sent to the government for some "research". Hopefully all goes well. Will update on American Idol results next, if I remember that is. Later!
